An app with information about all bus routes and tickets.

An app with information about all bus routes and tickets. Urban and intercity buses location will be trackable through live gps location transmission. The user will be able to slect the bus they are interested in and view the bus route and stops.

At the same time, the app will allow payment through the use of a digital credit card. The card will be presented as a digital barcode that will be read by a machine at the entrance of the bus and deduct the amount automatically by issuing of a paper ticket or plastic card, thus saving tons of paper and plastic every year and reducing operating costs for the bus service.

Users will be able to create an account through their email, facebook or google accounts and even upload proof of documentation in the case of (university) student, soldier, large families, pensioner, disabled person.

In time, this process will automatically generate a database which will record date in terms of the average time for each route depending on traffic, thus making it easier to place a screen at each stop indicating the amount of time remaining until the next bus arrives. The recording of validated digital charges will show how many people use each line and whether lines need to be removed or routes added to a packed line, revision of bus schedules, etc.  An application which will be a mix of Flightradar24, Oasa telematics, Athena card. This will bring massive improvemnets and benefits to people who use the public transportation system, increase the number of people who use it, reduce the number of cars and traffic, air polution, benefit bus companies which will know at any time awhere their vehicle is located, benefit the environment by reducing the use of paper and plastic. Through the use of this technology, that is already used in other countries, this will help support their know-how and avoid common initial mistakes.
